Leaflet / pamphlet

Item no. 28147
1912
New York
Occupation: Hotel and restaurant
Collection: Union

This leaflet was handed out to hotel and restaurant guests and passersby during the first general strike of New York City's hotel and restaurant workers in May, 1912. Striking in its simplicity and absence of graphic design, the leaflet's text conjures up images of the difficult life of a waiter.
